R.J. Corman crews have been on the line since the CSX takeover. I'm a bit out of the loop but yesterday heard the line may be used as a detour during future Hoosac Tunnel work. Have seen new welded rail at Clinton, and I'm sure other folks have seen other work along the line as well.

Great, so maybe a total revamp of the line?

Always nice to chat with fellow MOW workers. I am always willing to talk to people who are curious about the work I do some of my co- workers not so much.

Pardon my ignorance, but what/where is No Name?

No-Name is more or less the west end of Hill yard, out of sight off Barnum Rd.

Out of sight and off-limits, as it is a non-public road on railroad property. Strictly for vehicle access from one side of the yard to the other. Dave On Dec 3, 2022 07:31, "normvigeant via groups.io" <normvigeant@...> wrote:

Airport Diner in Shirley once or twice a year is about as close as I get to Hill, unless for some strange reason I'm riding CR.

The RR finally put a big block of concrete or stone on the road leading to the crossing itself to keep people out. You can sorta see it from the other side within Devens from public road.
