Deal, I am around Tu,W,Th and the train usually appears on Tu or Th anytime after 8A to 4P. Just give a bit of advance notice then come to Salem and stay for a 'spell' ! 😉

An eastbound train with MEC 7575 passed Pleasant St in Westford at around 0939. 5 engines including one MEC 5xx. I couldn't tell if it was running.

'Strange' things going on here today as MEC 505 was seen with 3 boners, appearing to be returning from delivery, but no, they were really just arriving at Northey Point (where the Danvers Branch leaves the Eastern Main) unable to switch to freight only track to South Reading branch, and gel plant in Peabody, although commuter rail passengers were being transported by Yankee buses! Finally they were allowed via radio to enter from Main. Dispatcher declared that he was unable to control switches so hand throw would be required. All seemed back to normal as they prepared to run around consist to head to Peabody. But no, that was not possible so consist was left on sharp curve between Flint and Grove streets, all appeared to be on the track. Then 505 returns light engine to Bost/Som. Soon Pan Am MoW truck with rail wheels is seen heading to Peabody. Visual inspection of track to the gel plant finds no empties waiting on storage track so no apparent reason for aborted delivery. Another day on the RxR !

Reported to have tied down at the mill, on another group. This was after the cut had been unloaded and after D3 gave permissions for the move onto the main and down to CPF WL, in order to proceed west to Ayer yard. Supposedly, the tie-down decision was made
because POED was due to pass -- but I have not been able to find any postings at all today on any group about a POED on the road. Mystery.
A visual showed no further signs of movement and all radio chatter ceased, so the train was indeed apparently tied down. Dave Saums Amesbury MA
